Aunt Nancy's Stovetop Ham, Beans and Potatoes


AUNT NANCY'S STOVETOP HAM, BEANS AND POTATOES


Aunt Nancy at 19 years old.


Ham, Beans and Potatoes.

Place ham with bone in water and cook on low.
Simmer on low for 1 hour.

Diane and Aunt Nancy dig up potatoes in field.


Cut potatoes in quarters and add to water. 

Add beans .

Add onions.


Cook for 1 1/2 hour more on low.

Eat, it's delicious.


Add fresh corn.  Corn on the Cob in August is the BEST!

Aunt Nancy always loved dogs!

Aunt Nancy's' Sauerkraut Pork Roast

Aunt Nancy picks potatoes from the garden!

She grew them.

We put the pork roast in Grandma Edith Kreider's roasting pan with sauerkraut covering bottom of pan, 2 apples, 3 Tbsp. brown sugar, 2 onions chopped with salt and pepper.


Lid on roasting pan into 350 degree oven for 3 hours.


Add potatoes and cook for 1 1/2 hours.


Checking to see if it's done.


Dinner is served and so good.
